We manage Shopify shops at a professional level
Processes and quality assurance instead of uncontrolled adjustments.
There are many reasons to look for new support for your store: access credentials are scattered, custom code is barely documented, changes take too long or the quality simply is not what it should be. A large share of our clients came to us exactly this way. As a Shopify agency with multi-stage quality assurance, we take over existing stores in a structured way and without standstill: from the technical audit and integration into our processes to ongoing development.

We provide comprehensive support to our Shopify customers
For us, support means more than reacting: these eight areas are what we cover for our clients, permanently.
How the takeover of your store works
- Technical audit: we analyse store, code, apps and integrations and build a complete picture of your setup.
- Structured handover: access, configurations and documentation move to us in an orderly way while your business keeps running.
- Setup: development environments and approval workflows are in place, your store is integrated into our quality assurance process.
- Prioritisation and development: we prioritise open topics and technical debt together, then productive work starts right away.
And if something is on fire right now: we fix acute problems during the takeover already. We are there for our clients, not just from the first sprint on.
By the way: we also take over your existing Klaviyo setup, from flows to integration.

Let's talk about your store
A shop takeover by Digit-One follows a structured process that ensures a smooth transition and immediate operational readiness.
The process begins with a technical audit: we analyze the existing store, the codebase, installed apps, and existing integrations to gain a complete picture of the current state. At the same time, all relevant access credentials, configurations, and documentation are handed over in a structured manner.
In the next step, we set up our development environments, define communication and approval workflows, and integrate the store into our internal processes. This ensures that day-to-day operations are never interrupted at any point.
Finally, we jointly prioritize open topics, technical debt, and initial development items, so that we can work productively immediately after the takeover.
Thanks to our standardized and proven process, a takeover can be completed quickly and without friction, enabling an immediate transition into further development with no downtime.
The costs associated with an agency switch are generally lower than many expect, particularly with Shopify. Thanks to the platform's standardized architecture and well-defined integration points, even highly customized stores can be taken over efficiently without extensive ramp-up effort.
The actual cost primarily reflects the time required for the technical audit, access handover, and onboarding into new workflows. This effort is significantly reduced when the existing system is well-documented and clearly structured. A transparent and maintained codebase can cut onboarding time considerably compared to an undocumented or heavily patched setup.
In short: the better the existing documentation, the lower the transition cost. And thanks to Shopify's standardization, the baseline is already favorable regardless.
In the vast majority of cases, switching agencies does not mean a relaunch. Thanks to Shopify's standardization and well-defined integration points, an existing store can be taken over seamlessly and developed further straight away, regardless of how customized it is.
In rare exceptions, it can happen that an existing setup is so heavily burdened with technical debt that a relaunch offers a better long-term ROI than continuously working on a fragile foundation. However, this assessment is always based on a thorough technical analysis and never a default recommendation.
No. The initial call and the technical audit run independently of your current support setup. Only when both sides are confident it is a fit do we plan the handover together: structured, without time pressure and without your store falling between two stools.
Acute problems get fixed immediately, even while the formal takeover is still in progress: we are there for our clients. We are fully productive in regular operations after audit, handover and setup, and with well-documented setups this happens very quickly. The better the documentation, the shorter the onboarding.
Yes. With access to the store admin and the code, we reconstruct the setup even without a formal handover. The technical audit becomes all the more important and onboarding takes a little longer, but it works. Nobody should be stuck in a collaboration just because the handover is difficult.
