Combining simplicity with practicality – interface integration
In order to keep the handling and maintenance of the new water rescue website as pragmatic and simple as possible, we decided to integrate existing providers who supply relevant information into the project instead of re-entering the data. To this end, we have integrated the SYBOS interface, which provides course data, registrations, and mission reports, and we have also integrated live weather and water data via the API of the city of Bregenz. This makes the new Vorarlberg Water Rescue website the central information point for water sports enthusiasts of all ages.

In order to logically and graphically separate the individual services offered by Wasserrettung Vorarlberg, we opted for a playful approach with various thematically appropriate backgrounds. Each discipline (swimming & lifesaving, whitewater, diving, and nautical) also has a parallax-moving swimmer, diver, etc. The current course offerings, the responsible persons, and districts can be easily identified on the pages, which makes it much easier to get started and make contact.
