Digit-One invites you to bring your skills as a full-stack developer specialising in e-commerce to our team. We focus on innovation and expertise.
About us
Digit-One is a digital agency based in Bregenz. We develop and manage Shopify shops, implement CMS projects using Storyblok and Sanity, and build bespoke web applications and SaaS platforms. We are backed by a diverse, young team of ten developers, designers and project managers who work together on a basis of trust to build digital platforms.
What you can expect
You’ll be working within a structured development process with clear responsibilities: sprints with daily stand-ups, CI/CD pipelines (including for Shopify), deployment processes and a three-stage quality assurance process comprising code reviews, an internal product owner and client acceptance. For us, AI is about achieving efficiency gains through targeted use, not a panacea.
Your main responsibilities will centre on the development and enhancement of Shopify shops (storefronts, integrations, migrations, app extensions), but you will also be involved in CMS-based front-end projects using Next.js, as well as web applications and SaaS platforms.
In the medium term, you can grow into a tech lead role: you’ll take on technical responsibility for individual projects, develop implementation plans and estimates, make architectural decisions, and act as a technical sparring partner for the account owner, including in direct contact with clients.

What you bring to the role
- Several years’ experience as a full-stack developer, ideally in the e-commerce sector
- An understanding of system architecture, clean code and sustainable solutions
- A willingness to familiarise yourself with our technology stack (Shopify, Next.js, Storyblok, Sanity) and develop your expertise. We won’t leave you to it on your own, of course!
- Experience with Shopify or other e-commerce platforms is a plus, but not essential
- Excellent written and spoken German (minimum C1)
- An independent, quality-focused approach to work and a willingness to take on responsibility
What we offer
- This role comes with a minimum gross salary of €45,738, as required in the collective agreement of our industry in Austria. We are prepared to offer a significantly higher salary depending on your experience and qualifications.
- 38.5-hour working week with flexitime, without an ‘all-in’ contract
- A modern office in Bregenz (Austria) with free drinks, or fully remote if you live further afield. Some of us are also based in Vienna and Germany.
- Workation: work from anywhere in the world for up to 14 days a year
- MacBook Pro, also for personal use
- Technically challenging projects with real creative freedom
- A clear path to a Tech Lead role
- Regular professional development and two-way feedback
- Team events, group outings and a dog-friendly office
